Hon. Altine Ibrahim Esq., the National Legal Adviser of ( NAWA-Org.)

Barr. Altine Ibrahim is currently the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Damaturu Branch and an elected member of the HCT,
Chairperson Women-Led Network of CSOs Yobe State (WOLNY). She is also the executive director of the *Sahel Initiative for Justice to
Women and Children (SIJWAC), a member of the *Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC FORUM), worked as a Consultant
with *Green Horizon Legal Consult and Care International, * Barr. Altine is a *Legal officer, case manager, and PSS/ MHPSS expert, councilor of Women and Girls Dignity Centre Yobe state, Onetime vice chairman, and later Chairperson of the Nigerian BAR Association Damaturu Branch, member of FIDA and NBA National Executive Council, member of the NBA North/east taskforce on Boko haram insurgency, and the immediate past Chairperson FIDA Nigeria Yobe branch.

Barr. Altine is kin and active in enhancing, promoting, protecting, and preserving the rights and welfare of women and children,
providing free legal services, counseling, and alternative dispute resolution services to indigent Women, PWDs, and Children.

Advocate for legislation that will promote the advancement of peace, Gender equality, human rights, and the well-being of women and children.

Altine is indigent in Yobe State and is from Potiskum. She obtained an MSc in Humanitarian studies
at Yobe State University, attended Nigerian Law School Lagos, and was called to the Nigerian BAR as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court in 2008. She obtained a Degree in Sharia and Civil Law from the University of Maiduguri in 2007 and a Diploma in Sharia and civil law from Mohammed Goni College of Islamic Studies in 2000; Altine obtained a Grade II Teacher certificate from WTC Gadaka in Fika LGA of Yobe State in 1988.

Altine was trained in GBV by UK BAR in 2014, USAID in 2015, The Nigerian Bar Association, NFF, UNFPA, AUN Yola, FIDA National Nigeria, and Action Health Incorporated. She is also a trained counselor by UK BAR, AHI, and FIDA Nigeria, trained in mediation and conflict resolution by Kelvin Nwosu, and trained in the criminal justice system, particularly in handling GBV cases, gathering, preserving, handling, and sending DNA samples and evidence, she is a specialist in child protection and is a member of Save the Children Initiative and IOM.

Barr. Altine worked with Green Horizon Legal Consultants in Kano state. and have established partnerships and consultancies with multiple Humanitarian development organizations locally and internationally, such as National Human Rights Commission Nigeria,
Partners in West Africa, * *Save the Children Initiative, ** *MCH – British Council, CARE INT, WARDC, Life Helpers Initiative Barr. Altine had attended the Lake Chad region Governors’ forum in Niger and Chad and participated in the training of CSO leaders on advocacy and communication skills in Duola, Cameroon. She has traveled extensively across Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Finally, Barr. Altine facilitated training and workshops on the Child’s Rights Act, prohibition against Gender Base Violence, and Protection Against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment. She is fluent in English, Kanuri
Hausa, Bolewa languages
