The Political Wing of the National Advocacy for Women Advancement Organization NAWA-ORG, officially known as the National APC Women Advocacy Organization (NAWA-Org.), is a unique and pivotal subunit. It is dedicated to empowering women in Nigerian politics while advancing humanitarian initiatives.

Despite sharing a similar acronym with its parent organization, NAWA-ORG, this political wing is distinct in its concentrated focus on political advocacy.  (NAWA-Org.) was founded in 2022 to mobilize voters and champion the Tinubu/Shettima 2023 mandate:

Dr. Amina Kundiri, the founder and director General of (NAWA-Org.), was born in Plateau State and raised in Gombe State—the daughter of a technocrat elder statesman and former Nigerian Minister of Transport, Engr. Mohammed I. Musa Azi (M.I. Musa). Dr Kundiri deeply understands community engagement from her family background and personal experiences. Her expertise as an administrator, businesswoman, and political think tank has made her key in driving the organization’s mission forward.  With a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Doctorate, Dr. Kundiri has cultivated knowledge through her travels across multiple continents. She is a member of esteemed organizations like the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), the Council of Administrative Managers of Nigeria, and the Institute of Corporate Administration; she is fluent in English and Hausa and excels in strategic collaboration project management, marketing, and leadership, relationship management, data analysis, and humanitarian initiatives.

Dr. Amina Kundiri’s mission through the National APC Women Advocacy Organization (NAWA-Org) is to unify, empower, and mobilize women across Nigeria, working closely with the All-Progressives Congress (APC). This initiative aims to promote inclusive growth and foster socio-economic development, ensuring that women play a vital role in shaping the nation’s future.

 

NAWA-Org focuses on increasing women’s political participation and fostering collaboration with government and private stakeholders while upholding cultural and social values. It is committed to advancing transparency, accountability, integrity, and mutual respect. It is structured with functional roles critical to maintaining impartiality, diversity, and inclusivity, driving its efforts to create a visible and impactful presence for women in Nigeria’s socio-political landscape.
